First staged at the Albanian National Theatre in 1987, Twelfth Night (Nata e 12-të), translated by Vedat Kokona and directed by Piro Mani, became a notable Shakespearean production in Albania and was later recorded for television.
The cast included Ahmet Pasha (Orsino), Roza Anagnosti (Viola and Sebastian), Pavlina Mani (Olivia), Robert Ndrenika (Malvolio), Fadil Kujovsa (Sir Toby), Agim Qirjaqi (Sir Andrew), Yllka Mujo (Maria), and Shkëlqim Basha (Feste).
For this comedy, Agim Zajmi adopted a Renaissance-inspired scenographic language, using luminous arches, layered perspectives, and modular structures that enhanced the rhythm of disguise and revelation. Preserved in the National Gallery of Arts of Albania, the work remains a refined example of modern Albanian scenography.
