Red Roofs of Berat
Oil on canvas
42 × 61 cm

A bird’s-eye view of Berat reveals tightly clustered houses with red roofs aligned along a narrow, winding passage, creating a strong sense of rhythm and structure. Warm earth tones are balanced by turquoise surfaces that introduce light and spatial contrast. The simplified geometry of the buildings gives the scene a composed, almost scenographic quality. Through this controlled composition, Zajmi conveys the distinctive architectural identity of Berat, suspended between observation and interpretation.
